On April 13, 2020 the Class Mini 580 group was rebranded as Class Globe 580. This rebrand by Don McIntyre ensures a unique tie from the "adventure mini" to a significant set of events that are the foundational heritage of the Class Globe 580 one design. The Globe 580 are the everyman's mini. An entry into a class of global sailing that is open to anyone with a dream, a few dollars and a willingness to sweat a little. While I will miss the "Class Mini 580" name I see the vision behind the rebrand.
